A short term mission trip to Mattaw is typically 10-14 days in total duration. You will spend 7 to 10 days actually in Kitale, Kenya at the Mattaw Children’s Village. Your trip can include everything from house to house evangelism, Vacation Bible School, sports camps, construction, medical, pastoral training, educational seminars, or just loving on Mattaw children from sun up to sun down. We will do our very best to tailor your trip to your team’s giftings and to the needs of our children and village.
Trip Cost:
$75 per person per day of your scheduled trip in country cost plus your airfare into Nairobi, Kenya. (10 day trip total duration trip will cost $750 per person plus your airfare to Nairobi) Your in country cost will include all of your transportation including in country airfare from Nairobi to Kitale and transportation while in Kitale, all of your lodging, and your meals once you arrive in Nairobi. This cost per person is should be made payable to Mattaw Ministries one month in advance of your trip to Kitale. You are responsible for getting and paying for your tickets to Nairobi, Kenya separate from this cost. If you do not have a travel agent, here is one we recommend, Sharon@ministrytravel.com. Our in country cost does not include trip insurance for you and your team. It also does not include any extras like safaris or additional sight seeing aside from what is available in Kitale. We would be more than happy to arrange additional sight seeing or a great safari for your team if you would like us to do so. If you would like us to do this, you must include the cost for your extras and make it payable to Mattaw Ministries one month in advance of your trip to Kitale. While in Kitale, you and your team will either stay on the Mattaw property in our guesthouses or in guesthouses in Kitale. Your meals will be taken either in the village or at Mattaw approved restaurants in Kitale.
Group Size:
A team is considered a minimum of 10 people and a maximum of 15. (You must have at least 10 team members who have paid their $50 non-refundable deposit at least eight weeks in advance of your scheduled trip.) We need this time and information to arrange for all meals, lodging, and transport for your team.
Deposits
A non-refundable deposit of $50 per person is required to hold the dates of your choice. This deposit will apply to your overall trip cost.
